GAINESVILLE, Ga. — U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield, and USDA Deputy Secretary Xochitl Torres Small have been in attendance because the UN introduced that 2026 would be the “Worldwide 12 months of the Lady Farmer.”
The USDA led efforts to acknowledge the significance of girls in farming. The decision had greater than 100 co-sponsors.
