This stunning, transferring 20-minute documentary tells the story of wolves’ return to Colorado and the way wildlife and folks can reside collectively in a state that cares for each.

From time immemorial the household of individuals, wolves, and fireplace shared our world—till the 1940’s, when the final remaining grey wolves in Colorado have been shot, trapped, and poisoned out of existence. In November 2020, the residents of Colorado voted to revive wolves to the state. Three years later, in December 2023, state wildlife officers welcomed grey wolves dwelling to Colorado by releasing the primary of ten wolves into the wild.
“Welcome Dwelling” celebrates the creating story of wolf reintroduction to Colorado. This unbelievable conservation success story in-the-making is exclusive on the planet in that direct democracy led to the restoration of this iconic North American native carnivore. “Welcome Dwelling,” contains interviews with biologists, ranchers, wildlife professionals, Native People, hunters, and naturally, wolf advocates.
Welcome Dwelling is directed by Alan Lacy, founding father of Reel Earth Movies. Alan’s first movie, “Grey Space: Wolves of the Southwest” is an award-winning documentary that has screened internationally. Alan’s work has aired on Nationwide Geographic, Disney+, and PBS Nature, with extra upcoming work quickly to air on the BBC. The Coalition will host a reception within the theater instantly following the movie and panel dialogue.
