TUCKER, Ga. — Poultry accounts for about 24 p.c (18 p.c from hen and 6 p.c from turkeys) of foodborne diseases, as reported within the Interagency Meals Security Analytics Collaboration (IFSAC).
The IFSAC is a cooperation between the Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Division of Agriculture (USDA) Meals Security and Inspection Service (FSIS) and the U.S. Meals and Drug Administration (FDA), that mixed interagency knowledge to research tendencies in foodborne diseases.
