GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Avian influenza or hen flu has been on the thoughts of each cattle farmer since late March. Whereas hen flu is predominantly present in poultry and different wild fowl, the illness has jumped from birds to cattle. The USDA said in a report, “wild birds, an early vector of the virus, don’t look like spreading the virus from herd to herd or to poultry farms.”
Reuters has reported that 120 dairy herds in 12 states have examined constructive for hen flu. Three dairy farm workers contracted the virus. One individual had signs of conjunctivitis or pink. . .
