Cloudy With A 100% Likelihood of You Saying "Aw!"

Oklahoma Metropolis Zoo is thrilled to announce the latest delivery of a uncommon clouded leopard kitten. Following an roughly 90-day gestation interval, the OKC Zoo’s feminine clouded leopard, Rukai, gave delivery to a male kitten on Tuesday, July 18, on the Zoo’s Cat Forest habitat.

The OKC Zoo is a proud participant within the Affiliation of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA's) Species Survival Plan® (SSP) for clouded leopards. As a result of that is such a major delivery and the primary delivery of 2023 for this susceptible species, the SSP advisable the Zoo’s animal care consultants hand-rear the kitten to make sure he thrives. Instantly following the kitten’s delivery, the Zoo’s carnivore caretakers stepped in and started offering round the clock take care of this little cloudie.

Caretakers report the kitten is wholesome and doing every part a new child must be doing – consuming, sleeping and rising! Because the kitten continues to develop robust, he will likely be making his strategy to one other AZA-accredited facility to be one other vital ambassador for his species and hopefully have little cloudies of his personal sooner or later!
