The workforce at Roger Williams Park Zoo is elated to announce the delivery of a child sloth! The lovely new child is born to mother Fiona and pa Westley and is at present resting comfortably whereas staying near mother. The unbelievable workers of zookeepers and veterinarians are sustaining a watchful eye over the mom and child, guaranteeing their well-being as they bond behind the scenes. With the help of the mom’s affection, every day monitoring, and supplemental feeding from the keepers, the baby is steadily rising and gaining power.
This delivery holds nice significance for the Zoo and the worldwide sloth inhabitants. The Zoo is an energetic participant within the Linne’s Two-Toed Sloth Species Survival Plan, which prioritizes breeding to ensure the survival of the species.
