The Kori bustard (Ardeotis kori) is a big floor chook native to Africa that forages by strolling alongside and repeatedly poking it’s beak to the bottom. The male of this species can weigh greater than 44 kilos and is reputed to be the heaviest chook that’s in a position to fly.
