It’s Hatch Day at Pitt! Blissful Earth Day 2024!

This morning at 11:02am the primary of Carla and Ecco’s 4 eggs hatched on the Cathedral of Studying peregrine nest. Our glimpse was fleeting as a result of Carla stored her again to the digital camera (above). Later within the hour she turned and we acquired a greater view.

This slideshow from the streaming falconcam comprises the most effective snapshots from the 11:00am hour with one chick, one pipped egg, and an empty eggshell. Carla ate the eggshell to regain the calcium she misplaced in laying the egg. The shell was almost passed by midday.

He made one other look within the 1:00 o’clock hour however I missed it.
