3 June 2024

Yesterday at 3:30pm I noticed two Pitt peregrine chicks on the streaming cam so it appeared that neither one had flown. By the point I acquired to Fledge Watch at 4:30pm there was just one teenager on the nestrail and just one chick current when Ecco introduced meals.

If the opposite chick had been anyplace close by he would have been entrance and heart on the Sunday afternoon feeding. This was a really sturdy trace that he had flown.

A second trace got here when Ecco took away the prey about midway by way of the feeding and flew it to the Fifth Avenue facet of the Cathedral of Studying. The fledged chick was most likely over there, however by the point I might stroll to that facet there was nothing to see. The fledged chick was most likely sleeping off his feast on a excessive patio.

Fledge Watch is scheduled as we speak for 11:30am-12:30pm at Schenley Plaza. If each chicks have flown I’ll cancel Tuesday’s Fledge Watch as a result of they’ll be unimaginable to see with out chasing them across the Cathedral of Studying.
