Whitby, ON (June 3, 2024) – The Humane Society of Durham Area is inviting the general public to an open home occasion on Saturday, June 8 to rejoice furry mates large and small and study extra concerning the charity.
Drop by the animal centre, situated at 1505 Wentworth St. in Whitby, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a tour of the animal centre, meet animals out there for adoption and revel in a day of enjoyable. There can be meals distributors, carnival video games, pet associated distributors, a bake sale, yard sale, and children’ zone with face portray. There may also be a nail filing station for cats, canines and small animals.
The Humane Society of Durham Area is a registered charity that has supplied assist for pets and their households within the Durham Area for over 30 years. HSDR is devoted to defending and offering compassionate take care of undesirable and abused animals in Durham Area till they discover their perpetually houses. Dedicated to bettering the lives of animals, HSDR gives schooling and sources to the neighborhood. As a part of the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society, HSDR works collaboratively to strengthen and develop the applications and neighborhood assist companies it gives to assist animals and the households who love them.

This is a chance to drop by, study extra about how we assist animals in our neighborhood and have some enjoyable!”

The Humane Society of Durham Area
The Humane Society of Durham Area is a registered charity. For over 30 years, the HSDR has been devoted to defending and offering compassionate take care of undesirable and abused animals in Durham Area till they discover their perpetually houses. In August 2022, the HSDR formally joined the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society to mix the organizations. This can allow the HSDR to strengthen and develop the applications and neighborhood assist companies it gives to assist animals and the households who love them.
The Humane Society of Durham Area acknowledges the lands and folks of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, which is roofed beneath the Williams Treaties. The HSDR is located on the standard territory of the Mississaugas, a department of the higher Anishinaabeg Nation, which incorporates Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi.
