In spring 2023, NCAP continued constructing partnerships with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes round culturally important vegetation. Due to earlier conversations between the NCAP group and Tribal curiosity within the historic staple meals Teva or Deva (Shoshone and Bannock identify for Pinus monophylla), Nolan Brown (Shoshone-Bannock Language and Tradition Preservation Division [LCPD] Authentic Territories and Historic Researcher Supervisor), Carolyn Smith (Cultural Sources Coordinator for the Tribes’ Heritage Tribal Workplace/Cultural Sources), Louise Dixey (LCPD Cultural Sources Director), and different Tribal members thought of how Deva might turn out to be accessible to present and future generations.
