Georgia Ports Authority board approves $65M for Ocean Terminal


SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Georgia Ports Authority has accredited contracts totaling $65.6 million for container yard work on the Port of Savannah’s Ocean Terminal, a 200-acre facility simply downriver from GPA’s fundamental container port.

“We’re very happy with the progress on enhancing Ocean Terminal’s container dealing with functionality,” stated GPA President and CEO Griff Lynch. “We’re on monitor to see higher container capability by late 2027.”

The board accredited three mission parts, together with earth compacting to organize the location to carry container stacks, elimination of a former bridge pier and preliminary. . .
