RSPCA investigates ‘hideous’ cat killing in east London
The RSPCA has launched an investigation after the physique of a cat was discovered tied to a brick in a pond in east London.
The RSPCA was alerted to the incident on Monday (4 March) and Inspector Chris McGreal launched an investigation.
The physique of the cat – a ginger and white long-haired male – was discovered by a member of the general public within the pond at Eastbrookend Nation Park in Romford on Monday morning and brought to a neighborhood vet who contacted the RSPCA.
Inspector McGreal stated: “The cat was discovered with a rope round his neck which had been tied to a brick. It could seem that this poor cat was thrown into the pond intentionally and left to drown.
“It is a surprising incident and the poor cat will need to have suffered hideously.”
The unneutered male cat is lower than a yr previous and vets have been in a position to find a microchip but it surely was not registered with any contact particulars.
