Put up-secondary college students pitched modern analysis concepts

Egg Farmers of Canada introduced the winners of its inaugural Scholar Innovation Problem. The initiative noticed post-secondary college students from throughout the nation pitch their modern analysis concepts and artistic options to assist form the way forward for Canada’s egg sector.
“We had been thrilled to see the scholars’ creativity and enthusiasm for tackling the challenges and alternatives at hand for egg farmers,” stated Roger Pelissero, chair of Egg Farmers of Canada. “It’s these concepts and the pursuit of evidence-based analysis that can assist drive innovation in our sector. With the purpose of highlighting how vivid concepts may also help egg farmers obtain their targets, college students had been invited to submit movies that answered the query: What’s your analysis undertaking that may form the way forward for the egg business in Canada? Dozens of inspiring college students responded to the decision and shared their recent concepts.
The winners had been chosen by a jury comprised of teachers and egg business representatives and had been introduced at an Egg Farmers of Canada assembly on March 27, 2024. Mariève Dallaire-Lamontagne from Université Laval and Ravneet Kaur from College of Alberta tied for first place, with Violet Hipkin from the College of Guelph receiving the third-place award.
“We congratulate all contributors for participating in our Scholar Innovation problem,” added Drew Black, CEO of Egg Farmers of Canada. “We welcomed the chance to have interaction with many inspiring college students and showcase their position in contributing positively to the way forward for our rising sector.”
The Scholar Innovation Problem is the newest addition to Egg Farmers of Canada’s analysis program, which features a Analysis Grant Program, a cross-disciplinary Analysis Chairs Community and various complementary analysis partnerships.
